"The Phoenix"

Believed to be the work of the early Basketmaker Anasazi, this ancient petroglyph is one of the most prestine and spectacular of any rockart found in the four corners area of the American desert southwest.

This image captures this two-foot tall rock drawing under artificial light over a 40 minute exposure to capture the trailing starlight of this cool, crisp spring night.
