"Death Valley Charcoal Kilns"
Just a little 2am fun at 9,000 feet elevation...high above Death Valley in upper Wildrose Canyon in the Panamint Mountains. Yes, it was a bit cold!
I had found my comp, and polaris, in the light before sunset...setup all my gear, then went to bed early. Woke up at 2am...went out, took some test shots to sanity check my settings/guesses from earlier, then let the intervelometer go to work. I climbed back into my tent and slept until sunrise. I awoke to an hour of captured star trails and another fun night capture!
