:: Alaska Inside Passage - September 2006 ::
|
In Early September 2006 we went on a cruise to Alaska's Inside Passage with friends and family, and I managed to find a few photo
opportunities along the way. Leaving from San Francisco, we stopped in many ports such as Skagway, Juneua, Sitka and others, stopping in
beautiful Victoria on the way back.
A short time at the Tracy Arm Fjord gave me the opportunity to capture a prestine iceburg as it slowly lumbered past the ship.
The highlights of the trip for me was the whale watching a visit to the butterfly and Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia.
Below are a few photos from the gardens.
(On the left: An Alaskan Husky I spotted shortly after leaving the train from a day excursion up into the Canadian mountains along the colorful and cold Fraser River (The water is a light turquoise color due to the minerals from glacier melt.)
